Summer Update

Howdy Schlubs, 

I wanted to thank everyone for reading and sharing these essays over the past few months — it truly means the world when people go out and watch some Schlub Cinema they hadn't seen before. 

Starting this week, essays are going to start coming out biweekly instead of weekly. This is in part because of upcoming travel (I’m shifting into wedding guest mode), as well as moving some of my focus towards other writing projects. Unfortunately, I don’t have a set date on when weekly essays will resume, but I’ll be sure to keep y’all updated here.

Looking ahead, we’ll have more theme months later in the summer — with voting happening on the Schlub Cinema Instagram page —as well as more tangible projects coming in the near future!

Schlub Cinema was born out of the desire to return to the dive bars, bowling alleys, and dimly lit centers of community I had missed so much during the early pandemic, so it’s been a dream to be a part of this growing league of movie lovers.
